OS X has a built-in print feature that will convert your Office documents to PDF (Portable Document Format) -- this format allows individuals that do not have Office applications to read the document. PDFs are static documents and can only be edited with special software. It is good practice to name your files short names without symbols in the name or spaces. An underscore ( _ ) can be used to create a "space" between words. Capitalizing the letter of each word also will give the same visual of multiple words.
Web Browsers
Web Browser shortcuts are located in your Dock or in the Applications folder. Apple's OS brower is Safari. Both Chrome and Firefox are installed as many websites will list browser preferences for viewing content. If one doesn't work well, try the other browsers. Google applications seem to work better with Chrome (which is Google's browser).

Setting Default Web Browser
The OS of your MacBook sets Safari as your default web browser. If you would like to switch to another web browser as your primary, or default browser, open up System Preferences, then click General, then use the Default web browser drop-down menu to pick a different browser. See the image below.
Other Software Applications
There are many additional applications that come loaded on your MacBook. You can either peruse the Applications folder (using a Finder Window) or visit Apple's Support site under the OSX Basics page.
